Edith Viebrock

Visitation, funeral Wednesday in Fishkill

Edith Viebrock, 96, formerly of Yonkers and Carmel, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2013 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie. 

Born on September 3, 1917 in Germany to the late Max and Else Hesse Wagenknecht, Edith worked for many years at the Village Market in Katonah and at the Patent Trader Newspaper in Mount Kisco.

Edith is survived by her loving children, Linda Rubin, Richard Viebrock and Dedra Birkenstock and her husband John; cherished grandchildren Richard Viebrock and his wife Gina, Donna Wood and her husband Craig, James Birkenstock, David Birkenstock and his wife Katherine, Karen Kleespies and her husband Kevin, Andrea Rubin and Laura Rubin; and loving great grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Richard, Rebecca, Jameson, Kalista, Sarah, Emily, Drew, Jessica, Matthew and Frankie. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman Viebrock

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2013 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Young officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley.
