Parade Draws 5,000 to Mahopac for Putnam’s Best Block Party

Above and at top, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and all manner of floats, pipe bands and civic groups drew enthusiastic receptions from parade attendees. All told, the route stretched more than a mile for the parade, the third largest in New York state. A tremendous sense of community imbued the event, editor Douglas Cunningham writes on page 4.
