Anthony Cavoto of Brookfield, CT and formerly of Mahopac, NY passed away on April 18, 2020, at the age of 65.
He was born in the Bronx, NY on September 2, 1954, the son of Giovanni and Ivelda (neé Libetti) Cavoto. Anthony attended St. Lucy’s Elementary School and Mt. Saint Michael Academy both in the Bronx, NY. He went on to John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He worked for New York State Dept. of Taxation and Finance for several years before moving to accept a position at Allstate Insurance.
He married Lisa Ann Zayas on June 10, 1978. Together they lived in Yonkers, NY; Mt. Kisco, NY and then bought their home in the Mahopac/Carmel area in 1985. They were blessed with two children and remained residing in the Mahopac community for 32 years before relocating to Brookfield, CT. Anthony retired from Allstate in 2010 and continued to work part time with his wife running their co-owned business of 30 years, Kid’s Kottage Preschool of Mahopac.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lisa, his children Alexandra McDermott (Bryon) and Jonathon, his brothers John and Nino, and his grandchildren Nyjah Anthony and Charlotte Rose.
