Antoinette L. Scrivani, known as “Dee Dee” to most, was a lifelong resident of Brewster, NY. She died peacefully at her residence on May 25, 2021. She was 87 years old.
Born on March 4, 1934, in Brewster, NY, daughter of the late Giovanni and Charlotte (Folchetti) Cipriani.
In the 1970s, Antoinette was the fountain/counter Lady at Hopes Drug Store in the Village of Brewster. For nearly 20 years DeeDee brightened the lives of children in the Brewster School District as the school bus driver who decorated her bus for every holiday, made goody bags and crafts for both the children and staff. DeeDee was a caring and loving person; she was the caregiver to many of her siblings. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and making crafts; especially crocheting, puzzles and painting. She enjoyed many trips to Mohegan Sun. For the past 7 years she got to enjoy her later part of life as a snowbird in Sarasota, Florida.
Antoinette is survived by her loving son Richard Scrivani and his wife Donna of Pawling, NY, her beloved and cherished granddaughter Jessica Scrivani of Tampa, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Thomas, Charlotte, Alfred, Charlotte, Alvina, John, George, and Robert.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday June 1, 2021, from 4pm-7pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. A service will be held during the visitation. A graveside will be held on Wednesday at 10am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Turk Hill Road, Brewster.
