CELINA K. (KELLEY) SONDHEIM




Celina K. (Kelley) Sondheim, 62 of Sharon, Massachusetts passed away at home on April 25, 2011, after a long illness. Ms. Sondheim, daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Kelley of Pawling, New York, is survived by her husband Robert, son Andrew, daughter Carrie, daughter-in-law Krystle, as well as inlaws Sandy and Monique Sondheim of Brunswick, Maine, nephew Arthur Sondheim of Saipan, niece Elizabeth of Freeport, Maine and grand nieces, Mia and Elle, and nephew, Akkun.

Born and brought up in Patterson, Ms. Sondheim was a graduate of Green Mountain College and St. Lawrence University. She was a former social worker for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services, and was active in many civic organizations, particularly the Rhododendron Quilters Guild of Walpole and other local crafts groups and projects. She appreciated a simple lifestyle of warmth and caring and will be remembered for her unselfish manner towards those around her.

She was memorialized by family and friends at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington St, Canton, on Friday, April 29, followed by burial ceremonies at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Celina’s name to the Sharon Community Chorus, 355 South Main Street, Sharon, MA 02067 as her wish to honor local performing arts. The family is appreciative to the staff of the Dana- Farber Cancer Institute and primary care physician Dr. Danru Lee for their professional care as well as many wonderful friends who assisted Celina and were in turn touched by her.
