Charlotte P. Avallone passed away on Feb. 15, 2019, in Lake Peekskill, NY. Charlotte was a graduate of Keane State University. She died peacefully at home with her husband, The Rev. Dn. David Morris, and her son Christopher at her side. Charlotte was a member of Holy Communion in Mahopac and a strong supporter of The Church of Our Savior in Killington, Vermont. During her battle against cancer she inspired others by her faith and telling people how blessed she was by saying, “God knows my name.”
She is survived by an older sister Terry Chesbro of San Antonio, Texas and Brother Robert Lewis of Naples, Florida as well as many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte will be remembered as a warm and compassionate person who loved her home and the beauty of nature. She cared deeply for the spiritual development of children. She taught Sunday School while a member of Trinity Church in Ossining and St. Peter’s in Peekskill. She also participated in many church outreach ministries. As a skilled accountant and bookkeeper, she applied her skills to support many Episcopal churches and small businesses throughout Westchester and Putnam counties.
On Feb. 23rd the family will receive visitors at 9:30am to 11am, followed by a celebration of her life and a Rite 2 Eucharist at Holy Communion church located at 1055 Route 6 In Mahopac, NY.
