Dianne M. Vishinski of Patterson, NY, died on January 2, 2020, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital after a valiant battle. She was 70 years old.
Born on February 12, 1949, in Greenwich, CT, daughter of the late Richard and Anne (Brosko) Green. Dianne graduated from Greenwich High School.
On September 2, 1967, she married the love of her life Stanley P. Vishinski in Rye, NY. Together Stan and Dianne moved to Patterson in 1978. Through the years Dianne worked as a warranty writer then service manager for various automotive dealerships including Brady-Stannard and Mahopac Jeep. She later worked as a bank teller for Bank of New York in Somers, NY.
Dianne joined the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department in 1991, serving as an EMT and EMS lieutenant for over 10 years. She is a life member with over 28 years of service. While with the Patterson Volunteer Fire Dept Ambulance she assisted with Ground Zero recovery. She was always entertaining and cooking, especially during the holidays you could find her making homemade perogies and kielbasa. Dianne was a committee member for the Relay for Life and a longtime volunteer. She was always helping others in the community whether it be driving others to medical appointments or bringing someone dinner. During Desert Storm you could find Dianne tying ribbons to trees and sending care packages to the soldiers. Her greatest passion in life however were her grandchildren; she was a doting grandmother, taking her grandchildren with her on many vacations and including them in many activities. She loved them with all her heart.
Dianne is survived by her husband of 52 years, Stan, her sons; Stanley P. Vishinski III of Brewster, NY, Kenneth Vishinski and his wife Lori of Patterson, NY, her siblings; Richard Green and his wife Susan of Greenwich, CT, Robert Green of Saugerties, NY and Theodore Green and his wife Tracey of Stamford, CT, and her 4 grandchildren; Stanley P. Vishinski IV, Andrew Vishinski, Lucas Vishinski and Jacob Vishinski. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Anne and her sister Mary Ann Spezanno in 2008.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Lake Carmel, NY at 10am. Interment will follow at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Patterson, NY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 8, 2020 from 4pm-8pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
