Edward K. Cassidy, of Brewster, North Salem, and Carmel died peacefully on Sunday Dec. 9, 2018, at The Grand Nursing and Rehabilitation in Pawling, New York, at the age of 74.
Edward was born in the Bronx to John and Isabelle King on May 22, 1944. He went to high school there and later attended Manhattan College and Rice University, where he earned several degrees, including two master’s degrees. He went on to become a self-employed environmental engineer for over thirty years.
Edward is survived by his five sons, Daniel, Patrick, Joel, Jonathan and Christopher. He is also survived by a brother, David Cassidy, and eight grandchildren.
Edward enjoyed being active in St. Joseph’s Choir, as well as refereeing soccer and supporting the local libraries.
Visitation was held Dec. 14 at Beecher Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Somers, New York. A private cremation followed.
