Putnam Health Department officials have issued a possible Tops Market COVID-19 exposure alert for shoppers visiting the store located at the Putnam Plaza in Carmel.
Shoppers or employees who were at the store on Thursday, July 2 between the hours of 5:30 am and 10:30 am or on Sunday, July 5 from 5:30 am to 8 am may have been exposed to the virus, according to the announcement.
Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Nesheiwat has asked anyone visiting the store on those dates and during those times to “watch for symptoms of the coronavirus that include fever, muscle and body aches, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, running nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or congestion.”
Dr. Nesheiwat has suggested should anyone exhibit these symptoms to contact their physician or health care provider.
Those with additional questions are asked to call the Putnam Health Department at 808-1390.
