Project Description:
The applicant proposes to disturb a portion of the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland LC-55 (Class II) in conjunction with the construction of a new 7,790 square foot showroom and various improvements to an existing automobile dealership, Meadowland GM Showroom, on a 7.2 acre parcel. The total area of disturbance to the adjacent area is approximately 0.6 acre; no disturbance within the wetland is proposed. The majority of proposed work (0.5 acre), including construction of new stormwater basins, paved areas, fill and grading will occur within previously disturbed areas; approximately 0.1 acre of new disturbance within the adjacent area is proposed for construction of stormwater facilities, gravel parking and wetland plantings. Additionally, 0.5 acre of the adjacent area of the wetland will be improved with planting of native wetland vegetation and stormwater enhancements. The project is located west of the intersection of Route 6 and Old Route 6.
