and other work required in connection therewith; and to expend therefor, including preliminary costs and costs incidental thereto and to the financing thereof, an amount not to exceed the estimated total cost of not to exceed $32,201,164; provided that the detailed costs of the components of the Project as set forth herein and as detailed in the Report may be reallocated among such components if the Board of Education shall determine that such reallocation is in the best interests of the District; (b) that the amount of $1,000,000 from the District’s “District-Wide Renovations, Construction and Reconstruction Reserve Fund,” approved by the voters of the District on May 12, 2015, is hereby authorized to be expended to pay a portion of the cost of the Project, and such expenditure is hereby approved; (c) that a tax in the amount of not to exceed $31,201,164 is hereby voted to pay the balance of the cost of the Project, such tax to be levied and collected in installments in such years and in such amounts as shall be determined by said Board of Education; and that in anticipation of said tax, the Board of Education is authorized to issue bonds of the District in the principal amount of not to exceed $31,201,164, and a tax is hereby voted to pay the interest on said bonds as the same shall become due and payable; and (d) that the Board of Education is hereby also authorized to construct energy efficiency and conservation improvements to District facilities, including the installation of solar panels, as authorized by Article 9 of the Energy Law and Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, at an estimated cost of $5,000,000, such amount to be financed, in anticipation of the realization of energy cost savings, pursuant to an energy performance contract, and expected to result in no cost to the District. BOND PROPOSITION B RESOLVED: (a) THAT IN THE EVENT BOND PROPOSITION A IS APPROVED, the Board of Education of the Carmel Central School District, (the “District”), is hereby further authorized to construct an Innovation Wing addition at Carmel High School to provide new space for STEAM workshops and classrooms, a new performing arts space and new space for band, orchestra and chorus; and a new wellness center to support physical education curriculum and extracurricular activities; and to reconfigure and expand parking areas; all at the estimated cost of not to exceed $46,955,838; and to install softball and baseball field lighting at the George Fischer Middle School at the estimated cost of $1,417,000; substantially as described in a report entitled “Proposed Projects for 2017 Bond” prepared by the District with the assistance of Sammel Architecture which is on file with the District Clerk and available for public inspection (the “Report”), the foregoing to include the original furnishings, equipment, machinery, apparatus and ancillary or related site, demolition and other work required in connection therewith; and to expend therefor, including preliminary costs and costs incidental thereto and to the financing thereof, an amount not to exceed the estimated total cost of not to exceed $48,372,838; provided that the detailed costs of the aforesaid improvements as set forth in the Report may be reallocated among such improvements if the Board of Education shall determine that such reallocation is in the best interests of the District; (b) that the amount of $3,000,000 from the District’s “District-Wide Renovations, Construction and Reconstruction Reserve Fund,” approved by the voters of the District on May 12, 2015, is hereby authorized to be expended to pay a portion of the cost of thereof, and such expenditure is hereby approved; (c) that a tax in the amount of not to exceed $45,372,838 is hereby voted to pay the balance of the cost, such tax to be levied and collected in installments in such years and in such amounts as shall be determined by said Board of Education; and that in anticipation

of said tax, the Board of Education is authorized to issue bonds of the District in the principal amount of not to exceed $45,372,838 and a tax is hereby voted to pay the interest on said bonds as the same shall become due and payable; and (d) that if this Bond Proposition B is approved, it shall become effective only in the event that Bond Proposition A is approved.
