Lynn (Manchester) Wintermeyer, of Cave Creek, Arizona, loving wife and mother, passed away on October 31, 2020, after a short illness.
She is survived by her husband Joseph C. Wintermeyer and sons Thomas and Daniel Wintermeyer, their spouses Beth and Melanie, and her sister Marcy Becker. Her grandsons are Joseph, Nicholas, Ryan, Colin, Charles, and Jack Wintermeyer. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Raymond (Rip) Manchester and Shirley Manchester.
Born in Mount Vernon, New York on October 5, 1948, she graduated from Eastchester High School in 1966. Lynn settled in Carmel, New York where she had many friends and used to spend summers at Hill and Dale Country Club. A graduate of Dutchess Community College, she had a long career at New York Telephone. Lynn and her husband Joe relocated to Cave Creek, Arizona to be closer to their family with frequent trips to Atlanta. She doted on her 6 grandsons. In her retirement years Lynn and Joe enjoyed car shows with their 1967 Austin Healy that has been with them since they were dating. She also enjoyed shuffling grandsons to sporting events, visiting with family and being a member of the Altar Guild at Desert Foothills Lutheran Church. Known as the “Hat Lady” at church, she has a collection of beautiful hats that she would wear on Sundays and special occasions.
Lynn was known for her lifelong friendships and generosity to all she knew. Family was paramount to her and she made sure to keep connected to everyone, family and friends. She will be missed by many.
