Margaret Mary Bohren of Danbury, Connecticut died in the comfort of her home Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was 72 years old.
The beloved daughter of the late Edwin and Mary (nee Keegan) Bohren, Margaret was born in New York City on December 1, 1947. She was a kind and dedicated certified nursing assistant at Hancock Hall Nursing Home in Danbury for more than 20 years before retiring.
A masterful storyteller, Margaret will be greatly missed by her siblings, Thomas (Valerie), Joan Ford (Ken) and James (MaryEllen), her eight nieces and nephews and ten grand-nieces and nephews.
Margaret thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Peach Lake, the summer home where she grew up. She was an avid reader who was conversant on many topics, and family historian who willingly shared her stories with the younger generation. And… the Jets have lost a loyal fan. Margaret will be missed by many.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 15th at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Viewing was from 10am-12pm, with a farewell service immediately following at the funeral home. Interment took place at Peach Pond Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
