Patricia A. Wallen, of Wingdale, NY, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Feb. 3, 2019. She was 74 years old.
Born on Feb. 6, 1944, in Sharon, CT, daughter of the late Anthony Adducci and Elizabeth Thompson. She graduated from Pawling High School in 1962.
Patricia married the love of her life, Bernard A. Wallen on Feb. 8, 1962, in Pawling, NY
As the Caregiver of the Wallen Family Care Home in Wingdale, NY for over 40 years, Patricia always there to care for family and friends. She had been a resident of Wingdale since 1964, having lived in Holmes, NY prior.
Patricia’s family was very important to her, she was an amazing mother and grandmother. Patricia enjoyed a variety of crafts including stained glass, ceramics, knitting and doll making. She could bake just about anything and took great pride as family members devoured each morsel. Through the years, Patricia greatly enjoyed the casinos she visited especially Monticello Casino and raceway.
Besides her husband Bernard of close to 57 years, she is survived by her loving children; John A. Wallen of Chesterfield, MA; Bernard A. Wallen Jr. of Millbrook, NY; Stephen A. Wallen of Wassaic, NY and Susanne M. Von Elm of Pawling, NY; and her grandson Brandon J. Wallen. Patricia was predeceased by her sister Barbara Thiers and her brother Arthur Adducci.
A private cremation will take place for Patricia at the convenience of the family. Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street in Patterson, NY will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
