Patricia Ann Durkin Lichtenberger

September 19, 1954 - August 1, 2021

Patricia Ann Durkin Lichtenberger Patty, age 66, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 , peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Patty was born on September 19, 1954, in Mount Kisco, NY to the late Patrick ‘JOE’ and Nancy Durkin. Patty attended St. Lawrence O’Toole School in Brewster and graduated from Brewster High School.

Patty had worked in Shipping and Receiving for many years at Watson Pharmaceuticals in Brewster, NY. She had met Richard T. Lichtenberger Jr. while working there and the two wed on April 28, 2001, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY.

Patty was a lifelong Brewster resident until moving to Mundelein, IL 13 years ago when Watson Pharmaceuticals closed the Brewster location and relocated to IL. Rich has continued to work with Watson ever since.

Patty had worked for the Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, IL as a cook.

Patty was a life member of V.F.W. Post 672 Brewster, NY. She loved what she did for the post and will be missed by many. In her free time, Patty could be found camping, gardening – always plenty of veggies on hand to share – and spending time at her families’ lake house in Amston, CT. When she came back home to Brewster to visit, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Patty is survived by her husband Richard T. Lichtenberger Jr., her children; Sheryl Collazo Villegas of Brewster, NY, Richard T. Lichtenberger 3rd of Mundelein, IL, and Ryan Lichtenberger of Saint Louis, MO; her mother-in-law Marsha Thompson of Putnam Lake, NY and father-in-law Richard T. Lichtenberger Sr. and his wife Ellen of Marana, AZ. and brother-in-law Robert Lichtenberger and his wife Andres of Putnam Lake, NY; her brothers, Patrick (PJ) Durkin Jr. of Dover Plains, NY. Michael (NORINE) Durkin of Brewster, NY, sister Barbara Pember of Brewster, NY and brother-in-law Butch Lundy of Brewster, NY. She was predeceased by her sisters Joann Lundy and Cathy Mannfolk and her brother-in-law Paul Pember. Patty had numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, 8 grandchildren, Michael, Brandon (Jill), Zachary, Kaylyn Villegas, Christian and Braden Lichtenberger of Mundelein, IL, Bay and Aiden Lichtenberger of St. Louis, MO and her great grandson Weston Villegas all whom she loved dearly every day.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 10AM at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY. Entombment of her ashes will follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster.
