Paulie was suddenly taken from us on September 10, 2021. He died in Waterbury, CT Hospital. Paul was 55 years young.
Paul was born in Yonkers, NY to Paul and Josephine Sblendorio and began his life in Elmsford, NY. He attended Sacred Heart School on Central Ave in Hartsdale. Moved to Purdy’s Station, North Salem, NY in 1974 where he attended Increase Miller Elementary School and Graduated John Jay High School, Cross River, NY in 1984.
Paul held several jobs throughout his life and was a pivotal member of a band called Neighborhood Watch in the 1980s. He loved guitar and was a proficient drummer. He also loved to fish and spent countless hours “down by the lake” in his childhood neighborhood of Candlewood Park. Paul was also an expert automobile detailer.
Wherever Paul went he went he had the ability to make people smile, and laugh, and make friends to keep. In 2008, Paul met the love of his life, Janet Jasko while working at Watson Pharmaceuticals in Carmel. They were married in 2014 and created a home in Waterbury, CT. In 2016 they were blessed with a son, Paul A. Sblendorio.
Paul enjoyed cars, car shows, auctions, garage sales, flea markets, swap meets, music, performing karaoke, concerts, the casino, horror movies, baseball and, everyone. Above all else, Paul loved his family. Paul was a very happy stay at home Dad and Little Paul was always by his side.
Over the past decade, Paul pursued his dream of being an entrepreneur as a “PICKER”. Paul honed his people skills and deal-making ability into reality and crafted his expertise into buying and selling almost anything, but mainly, “Mantiques”: toys, signs, collectibles, car parts and classic cars. Paul enjoyed the company of fine people, fine food and fine drink. Not necessarily in that order, but if given first choice, it would’ve been, all at once.
Paul was a son, brother, nephew, cousin, brother-inlaw, uncle, godfather, husband, father, and friend. Paul has left a hole in our world no one can fill. Everyone who knows him, will miss him and the love he was able to share during his short time with us.
Paulie is survived by his wife, Janet and his son, Paul, his brother, Angelo and sisterin-law, Carole, his nieces, Christen and Elizabeth of Poughquag, NY, as well as his extended family of many cousins and all his friends.
