Richard “Dick” J. Troha, of Gainesville, Florida, died peacefully on Nov. 26, 2018, at the Haven Hospice with his family by his side. He was 90 years old.
Dick was born on March 29, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late John Troha and Anna Fugina. He was a graduate of Brewster High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army as an occupational force in Japan between wars.
Troha married the love of his life Marie G. Giliberti on June 5, 1954, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, New York. Dick was a manufacturing plant manager with Amphenol in Danbury, Connecticut, for 34 years before retiring in 1988. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of the Candlewood Camera Club and enjoyed taking photographs.
Dick is not only survived by his loving wife Marie, but also his two sons John J. Troha and his wife Janice of Walsenburg, Colorado and Richard J. Troha and his wife Michele of Gainesville, Florida; his 3 grandchildren, Anna, Madeline and Maxwell; and his great grandson Jaxyn.
A graveside service will be held on Dec. 14, 2018, at 1 p.m. at St. Lawrence O’ Toole Cemetery, Turk Hill Road, Brewster. Interment will immediately follow. Beecher Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
