Roberta McKenna

August 27, 1939 - 2021

Roberta McKenna (Robbie), of Danbury, CT, formerly of Goldens Bridge, NY, died peacefully with her family by her side at Hancock Hall in Danbury, CT. She was 82 years old.

Born on August 27, 1939, in Kirkcaldy, Scotland daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Rodger) Brown. On March 20, 1965, she married the love of her life James Patrick McKenna in Stamford, CT. James predeceased his wife in 1992. She was also predeceased by her sister Grace and brother Robert.

Robbie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor, friend and employee. She worked as a dental assistant for over 31 years before her retirement. Her friendly, quick-witted personality was appreciated by patients and associates. She was a member of the old Goldens Bridge neighborhood association. Robbie loved to travel “Back Home” to Scotland as often as she could and equally enjoyed hosting friends and relatives from the UK.

Mrs. McKenna is survived by her loving daughters; Karen McKenna of Newtown, CT and Lesley McCullough of Brewster, NY, her son-in-law Thomas McCullough and 4 grandchildren whom she cherished, Colvyn McKenna, Riley McCullough, Griffin McCullough and Connor McCullough.

Services for Mrs. McKenna will be private. Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY assisted the family with arrangements.
